There are many greats works of ancient literature that had a profound impact on the history of the world. But something sets the Bible apart from the rest of them. There is no self-identified family of Achilles, or Confucius, or Aristotle, or Julius Caesar living in New York, London, or Shanghai, teaching their children to revere beliefs for which their ancestors lived. But the children of Abraham endure, survive, thrive, and transmit his beliefs today.
On July 4, we will begin exploring why the Bible and the people at the center of its story continue to endure today.
